Land Conversion Application Process and Status Check

Converting agricultural land for residential, commercial, or industrial usage from its original agrarian use is known as “land conversion.” The Banglarbhumi site is how West Bengal landowners can transform their agricultural property.

How to Apply for Land Conversion

  • To initiate the land conversion process, visit the Banglarbhumi homepage, navigate to Citizen Services, and select Online Application followed by Conversion Application.

  • Next, you need to enter applicant details, including the applicant type (Vendee (Self), Power of Attorney, or Others), the Khatian number, personal information (first name, last name, guardian’s name, and address), the purpose of conversion with changeable classification, contact information (mobile number and email ID), Aadhar number, gender, caste, religion, and specific details about the plot.

  • Upload the required documents in PDF format, making sure the file size does not exceed 2 MB.
  • Now, you will receive details of the circular outlining the applicable mutation fees based on your land type and conversion purpose.

  • Before submitting the application, carefully read the SoP (Standard Operating Procedure) for Conversion Disposal.

  • Complete the Captcha verification, agree to the self-declaration statement, and submit your application. Be sure to note down the Application Number provided for tracking.

How to Check Land Conversion Status

  • After applying, you can easily track its status through the Banglarbhumi portal by logging in, navigating to Citizen Services, and selecting Online Service Status, then Conversion Status.
  • Next, search for your land conversion status using either Plot Wise or Khatian Wise search.

  • Select your District, Block, and Mouza, enter your Plot Number and the Captcha code, then click Submit to view your status.
